Pipe Hardfacing Repair & Wear-Resistant Cladding
Wear-Resistant Rebuilding for Straight Pipes, Elbows and Industrial Pipelines
JINHUA provides professional pipe hardfacing repair and wear-resistant overlay solutions for industrial pipelines exposed to severe abrasion and erosion.
By combining automatic hardfacing equipment, wear-resistant flux-cored welding wire and customized welding procedures, worn pipe surfaces can be rebuilt with a new protective alloy layer.
Our solutions are suitable for both new wear-resistant pipe production and refurbishment of worn pipeline components.
What Pipe Components Can We Repair?
Our hardfacing solutions can be applied to:
Different automatic welding equipment can be selected according to the pipe diameter, length and geometry.
Pipe components — straight pipes, elbows and bends rebuilt with a wear-resistant overlay.
Internal Pipe Hardfacing
For pipes exposed to abrasive material flow, the internal surface is often the primary wear area.
Automatic internal hardfacing can deposit a wear-resistant alloy layer onto the pipe ID to improve resistance against:
- Abrasion
- Particle erosion
- Powder flow
- Slurry wear
- Bulk material impact
JINHUA provides dedicated equipment for both straight-pipe and elbow internal hardfacing.
Internal overlay layer — a wear-resistant alloy layer deposited onto the pipe ID.
Straight Pipe & Elbow Repair
Long straight pipes and curved pipe sections are rebuilt with automatic welding processes selected according to the pipe geometry.
Straight Pipes
Long straight pipes can be rebuilt using automatic spiral or oscillation hardfacing.
The welding process can cover the internal surface continuously according to the required overlay thickness.
Elbows & Bends
Elbows experience concentrated wear because abrasive material changes direction inside the pipeline.
Multi-axis automatic welding can be used to rebuild the internal surface of curved pipe sections and restore wear protection.
Straight pipe repair — automatic spiral or oscillation hardfacing along the pipe length.
Elbow & bend repair — multi-axis welding rebuilds the internal surface of curved sections.
Typical Repair Process
A six-stage repair process, from inspection of the pipe through to the final dimensional check.
Inspect the Pipe
Evaluate pipe diameter, wall thickness, wear depth and damaged area.
Surface Preparation
Clean or remove damaged material where required.
Select Hardfacing Process
Choose the appropriate welding wire, overlay alloy and welding parameters.
Automatic Overlay Welding
Deposit the wear-resistant layer using automatic pipe hardfacing equipment.
Build Required Thickness
Apply one or multiple layers according to the wear condition.
Final Inspection
Check the repaired surface and dimensional condition before returning the component to service.
Typical Applications
Pipe hardfacing repair is suitable for industries including cement, mining, steel, power generation, coal handling, mineral processing, bulk material conveying and heavy industry.
Typical industries include:
Cement / Mining / Steel / Power generation / Coal handling / Mineral processing / Bulk material conveying / Heavy industry
Typical pipeline applications include:
- Powder conveying
- Ash handling
- Mineral transport
- Coal conveying
- Abrasive material handling
- Slurry transport
Wear-resistant pipelines — conveying lines protected against abrasive material wear.
Why Repair Instead of Replace?
Hardfacing rebuilding can help:
For large or specialized industrial piping, rebuilding can provide a more economical alternative to complete replacement.
Rebuilt pipe surface — service life and abrasion resistance restored by hardfacing repair.
